Job Summary

The PCB Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, soldering, inspecting, and testing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) as per work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to ESD practices, and maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components on PCBs according to assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
  • Perform through-hole and SMT component placement and soldering.
  • Operate PCB assembly equipment, including soldering stations, rework stations, and basic testing equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspection of assembled PCBs to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and report defects, non-conformities, and process issues to supervisors.
  • Perform rework and repair activities on defective assemblies when required.
  • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
  • Maintain production records, assembly logs, and quality documentation.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and workstations are maintained in good working condition.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

Required Qualifications

  • ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in PCB assembly, soldering, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Freshers with relevant technical training may also be considered.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of PCB assembly processes and electronic components.
  • Proficiency in hand soldering and component identification.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with SMT and through-hole assembly techniques.
  • Understanding of IPC standards and ESD practices is preferred.
  • Good attention to detail and quality-conscious mindset.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Note : You need to give 3 years commitment and should submit the original 10th marks card at the time of joining the company.
