The iWave G26I EDR is a high-performance solution that captures critical vehicle and sensor data during safety-critical events. Combining high-speed CAN monitoring and IMU sensor fusion and secure timestamped logging, it provides accurate pre- and post-event insights for crash reconstruction, fleet safety, and asset protection. With edge analytics, tamper-proof design, and regulatory compliance (UNECE R169), it empowers manufacturers, fleet operators, and investigators to understand what happened and why in every incident.
Key Features
- Multiple CAN Interfaces
The iWave G26I supports 3 high-speed CAN bus monitorings, enabling real-time capture of vehicle ECU signals. This includes brake systems, airbag modules, ADAS, and other controllers. The ability to continuously monitor multiple ECUs ensures no critical vehicle state is missed during the moments leading up to a crash. - Secure Storage with Timestamping
All recorded data is securely logged to onboard eMMC or optional external storage with high-precision timestamps. Timestamped logging allows investigators to reconstruct sequences of events accurately, correlating multiple sensor inputs and CAN messages to build a complete picture of the incident. - Sensor & Peripheral availability.
With the support of IMU sensors, the iWave G26I captures contextual vehicle dynamics such as speed, acceleration, orientation (roll, pitch, yaw), and collision angles. This enriched dataset allows precise event reconstruction, even under complex crash scenarios. - Configurable Pre- and Post-Event Recording
The EDR can store both pre-event and post-event frames, allowing users to analyze the vehicle state leading up to a crash as well as the immediate aftermath. Adjustable buffers ensure that only relevant high-resolution data is stored, optimizing storage efficiency. - High-Frequency Data Logging
With the ability to sample IMU sensors and CAN bus data at high rates, the system ensures fine-grained capture of vehicle dynamics. This is especially important for capturing rapid changes in acceleration or angular velocity during collisions. - Compliance and Industry-Ready Deployment
The system is designed to meet UNECE R169 crash recording standards, ensuring it is legally valid for automotive and off-highway vehicle applications. Its robust industrial-grade design allows deployment in harsh environments, from trucks to construction machinery. - Hardware Robustness & Compliance: The device is engineered to meet UNECE R169 / R100 standards, ensuring it withstands harsh operating conditions. Features include:
- Shock & Vibration Tolerance: Maintains reliable operation during high-impact collisions and rough terrain.
- Wide Operating Temperature Range: Ensures functionality across
Key Use Cases
- Being regulatory compliant
- Crash Event Reconstruction: Investigators can analyse precise vehicle and driver actions before, during, and after a collision.
- Harsh Braking or Collision Detection: High-resolution recording allows identification of sudden manoeuvres or impacts, assisting both engineering and insurance assessments.
- Asset Damage Investigations: Industrial and off-road equipment operators can monitor incidents that damage machinery, enabling preventative measures and operational safety improvements.
With high-speed data capture, secure and tamper-proof logging, sensor fusion, and edge analytics, the iWave G26I EDR solution provides organizations with complete visibility into vehicle events.
