iWave unveils AM62L-based SoM: Low power, optimized for IoT, HMI & general-purpose applications

iWave is thrilled to launch the iG-Rainbow-G69M System on Module Powered by TI’s AM62L Arm®-based processor for general-purpose applications including: human machine interfaces (HMI), medical patient monitoring, building automation, smart secure gateways, smart Thermostats, EV charging stations, smart metering, solar energy and more.

iG-RainboW-G69M: Based on the Open Standard ModulesTM (OSM), the new module features TI’s AM62L dual 64-bit Arm® Cortex®-A53 processor clocked at 1.25 GHz. It includes 1GB of LPDDR4 memory, expandable up to 2GB, and is designed in a compact, solderable OSM v1.2 Size-SF LGA standard.

The AM62L is a low power and entry-level performance optimized family of processors that are built for Linux application development. The AM62L processor is well suited for a wide range of general-purpose applications with scalable Arm Cortex-A53 core performance and embedded features such as: multimedia DSI/DPI support, integrated ADC on chip, advanced lower power management modes, and extensive security options for IP protection with the built-in security features.

The AM62L devices include an extensive set of peripherals that make it well-suited for a broad range of industrial applications while offering intelligent features and optimized power architecture.

Alongside the launch of the AM62L-based System on Module, iWave is excited to offer a comprehensive development and evaluation kit. Built on the OSM standard-based System on Module, this kit includes all essential software packages, enabling seamless evaluation and development for customers.
