iWave Expands Versal Adaptive SoC portfolio with Versal™ AI Edge Gen2 System on Module (2VE3858, 2VE3804, 2VE3558, and 2VE3504)

iWave Global, a leader in embedded computing and FPGA System on Modules, announced the launch of the iG-G77M System on Module (SOM) powered by the AMD Versal AI Edge Gen2 FPGA.

Designed for next-generation AI-driven embedded systems, the module integrates preprocessing, AI inference, and postprocessing acceleration within a single adaptive SoC architecture. By combining programmable logic, next-generation AIE-ML v2 engines, high-performance Arm® processors, and LPDDR5X memory, the iG-G77M® enables deterministic real-time performance while reducing system complexity and device count.

The compact 70mm × 80mm REN+ form factor makes it ideal for applications such as ADAS domain controllers, industrial smart cameras, medical imaging platforms, edge AI boxes, aerospace mission computing, robotics, and advanced industrial automation.

Features of iG-G77M System on Module

To address high-bandwidth AI and vision workloads, the iG-G77M® integrates four 32-bit 4GB LPDDR5X memory interfaces, enabling high memory throughput suitable for multi-sensor fusion and real-time data processing. On-module storage includes 256MB OSPI Flash, 32GB eMMC, and optional 64GB UFS.

The underlying Versal AI Edge Gen2 architecture supports deterministic programmable logic for low-latency preprocessing, AIE-ML v2 tiles for efficient AI inference, and enhanced CPU performance for postprocessing workloads. Hardened Image Signal Processor (ISP) tiles and Video Codec Unit (VCU) further optimize vision and imaging pipelines while reducing programmable logic utilization.

“AI-driven embedded systems require acceleration across every phase of compute, from sensor preprocessing to AI inference and real-time control,” said Pradap Raj, Associate Director – System on Modules at iWave Global. “With the iG-G77M®, we provide a scalable and production-ready platform based on the Versal AI Edge Gen2 architecture, enabling customers to consolidate multi-chip designs into a single adaptive device while achieving deterministic performance and long-term design flexibility.”

The iG-G77M® is designed as a scalable compute platform within iWave’s Versal adaptive SoC portfolio. Supporting multiple Versal AI Edge Gen2 device variants, the module enables customers to scale performance without redesigning carrier boards.
