iWave has successfully validated the Analog Devices ADRV9002NP/W1/PCBZ FMC module on the Zynq™ UltraScale+™ MPSoC SoM Evaluation Kit, delivering a robust and highly configurable RF front end for next-generation wireless and SDR applications. This validation confirms stable operation, reliable high-speed data flow, and complete end-to-end RF functionality using Analog Devices reference HDL and Linux IIO drivers, providing a proven foundation for rapid prototyping and accelerated system development.
The ADRV9002 is a highly integrated 2×2 RF transceiver supporting operation from 30 MHz to 3 GHz with channel bandwidths of up to 40 MHz. It supports both TDD and FDD modes and features direct-conversion signal paths, on-chip calibration, and advanced digital filtering. These capabilities significantly reduce external RF complexity while enabling both narrowband and wideband operation across VHF, UHF, ISM, and cellular frequency bands.

The ADRV9002 FMC module interfaces with the MPSoC platform through the FMC connector using CMOS baseband interfaces. RF stimulus and measurements are handled via SMA connections, while configuration, control, and monitoring are performed from a host PC using ADI’s Industrial I/O (IIO) framework and visualization tools.
